We love this poem, food for thought…

The day that Twitter went down

*

That day I got things done.

I went for a long run.

Played ping-pong,

Wrote a song.

It got to number one.

*

That day I did a lot.

Tied a Windsor knot.

Helped the poor,

Stopped a war,

Read the works of Walter Scott.

*

It was such a day to seize.

I learnt some Cantonese.

Led a coup.

Climbed K2,

Cured a tropical disease.

*

That day I made headlines,

Became King of Liechtenstein,

Stroked a toucan,

Found Lord Lucan,

Then Twitter came back online.

*

The right to accurate data!
I’ve been reading The Department for Business, Innovations and Skills, Prior Qualifications of Adult OLASS (Offender Learning and Skills Service) Learners 2015 – Research Paper Number 206.

NewBriansKillingQuote

It backs up my own work on prisoners’ basic skills quite neatly by killing off another myth about prisoners, clearly stating that: The majority of survey respondents had a qualification of some level before they started their course (71%), with around four in 10 (43%) already having a (full) qualification at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE – grades A*-C) or above. If you see again the erroneous figure of 60% or 70% or even 75% not having qualifications do please correct this!
